We are pleased to announce that Heidelberg University (Germany) in a joint effort with researchers from the Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey (Mexico) and Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile will run\u00a0an\u00a0International Summer School<\/strong>\u00a0(ISS) for doctoral students in\u00a0the topic of\u00a0Vascular Cell Functions in Health and Diseases<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Up to 25 outstanding doctoral\u00a0students\u00a0from selected\u00a0universities in Europe and Latin America will be\u00a0invited to participate in the\u00a0ISS.<\/p>\n The objectives of this project are to strengthen\u00a0academic collaboration between Asia, Europe and Latin America and to foster\u00a0networks\u00a0of young researchers from these regions. All costs (attendance fee,\u00a0travel and accommodation) for doctoral students who have been awarded a\u00a0scholarship will be covered by this program.<\/p>\n Please find enclosed the\u00a0Official Call<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Application Form<\/strong>\u00a0for the ISS to be held at the HEIDELBERG CENTER LATIN-AMERICA in SANTIAGO DE CHILE, between\u00a0October 7-19, 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Doctoral\u00a0supervisors\u00a0can nominate their students for the summer school scholarship; however, self-nominations\u00a0are also invited.<\/p>\n As part of the activities of the ISS, we are proud to make the First Call to participate as a presenter at the\u00a0International Postgraduate Workshop 2018 (IPW 2018)<\/u><\/em>. IPW 2018 main topic is\u00a0Human Pregnancy Complications in Diabesity<\/u><\/em>\u00a0and will run between October 17-18 (i.e., within the ISS) at the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile (Santiago, Chile). IPW 2018 will include keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations and is open to applications from undergraduates, MSc, PhD, postdoctorals and researchers.
